Yeah I know it's now the 3rd of January but I wanted to wish everyone a joyous new year! Hope you all produce some wonderful artwork this year (Which I know you will!) My husband just bought me a lighting set. Lights, umbrellas, stands, softboxes etc. I'm SO excited. They should be here tomorrow! I have a feeling my entire first week back at school is going to be focused on portraiture with my new lighting equipment :)

Ok so every time I get on DevArt I think I spend 80% of my time just browsing through artwork. Usually I start at the forums and click my way through different artists and then before I know it I've spent 2 hours on the site just looking at other peoples work! I love it! I don't mind that I don't have the most popular artwork on the site, I get more gratification out of viewing others work haha. Don't get me wrong, I love comments and when people add my photographs as favorites and such. But I just enjoy art. I think some people get on here, try and promote their own work and don't bother to browse others and it's a shame. There are some fant

I'm in a state of shock at the moment. My mother just informed me that she was talking with one of our neighbors about their sons wedding. Apparently they haven't been able to find a photographer for the wedding and my mom introduced them to some of my photographs and they were really excited and want to me be their photographer for the wedding! I've never done wedding shots before but if anyone has any tips or suggestions for me, I'm 100% open. I'm going to need all the help I can get!! lol The wedding is September 13th, just around the corner...I better start studying hah!
